Shot with arsat 30mm on a kiev-60.
I discovered the kiev camera system after some searching
on the net. Now I am "addicted" and wrote a web site about them. In
these pages I hope to explain how to buy, use and what to expect from these
inexpensive Russian cameras. I'm fairly good with my hands and enjoy making
lens adapters and doing my own repairs. These camera's are not for everyone
and do have a few quirks to them. If you can live with the few problems,
don't mind "opening the hood" and tinkering around some, these are probably
the best bargain in MF photography today. Most of the problems with the K-60
are minor ones and are easily fixed by someone who is even just OK at fixing
mechanical things. If you buy one from the right places, these adjustments
have already been done and they are "ready to go"! The main point of using
a Kiev-60 is the wonderful lenses that fit these cameras that can be purchased
for 10% of what other med format lenses of this quality would cost! Also
there is a larger selection of focal lengths and speed to choose from.
If this sounds interesting PLEASE do your homework before you buy anything.
