Title: Shuyin in the Marmalade
Convention: Nekocon 7 2004   (Master Level)
Series: Final Fantasy X-2
Desc.: Far from a re-enactment of Real Emotion, a popstar worthy cast of FFX2 characters perform an elaborate dance number to Leon Lai's 'Sugar in the Marmalade', with pole-dancing boys and a dance off between Yuna and LeBlanc. Can you do it, baby?
Awards: BEST IN SHOW

Title: Kill Billpalazzo
Convention: Otakon 2004    (Master Level)
Series: Excel Saga
Desc.: Staying with the tradition of the show, today's episode of Excel Saga is done in the style of a Quentin Tarantino film. Hyatt the Bride and Exelle Driver get into more than they can handle, all to the music of Kill Bill. It's so crazy, it's as if it were meant to be.
Awards: 2nd place - Craftsman Level
             Judge's Award

Title: Cinderella
Convention: Anime Mid-Atlantic 4     (Experianced Level)
Series: Shoujo Kakumei Utena
Desc.: A funny skit done to the Britney Spears song 'Cinderella'. Sung by Anthy and to some extent Utena, the cast acts out a live-action music video going through the series and ending in a full cast dance number.
Awards: BEST IN SHOW

Title: Sailormoon Stars
Convention: Katsucon 10      (Craftsmen Level)
Series: Sailormoon Stars (fifth/final season)
Desc.: As a grande finale to our series of dramatic Sailormoon skits, what better way to end than with Stars? Set to a one-of-a-kind mix of 'Shooting Star', the Dark Muffins stretch the boundaries of practicality and stage limits to bring you a four minute version of the climactic ending of Sailormoon!
Awards: Judges Award : Crossplay
             Judges Award : Galaxia
             Honorable Mention : Worksmanship

Title: Ninja Rap
Convention: Nekocon 6    (Craftsmen Level)
Series: Naruto
Desc.: Set to that old-school song by Vanilla Ice, we put on a choreographed dance/fight with the characters of Naruto, giving new meaning and nostalgic flashbacks to the phrase 'GO NINJA, GO NINJA, GO!' Featuring a supposed all male cast, it is soon discovered that one should never underestimate the call of 'Sexy no Jutsu!'
Awards: DISQUALIFIED!

Title: Everybody's Fool
Convention: Otakon 2003    (Master Level)
Series: Angel Sanctuary
Desc.: Done in a more elaborate fashion than our original Angel Sanctuary skit in 2001, we tell the story of Rosiel's conquest and eventual fall from heaven, set to the Evanescence song 'Everybody's Fool'. Going past the OVA plot and deep into the manga, we go back to our roots with our second Otakon skit.
Awards: none

Title: Feel Like a Woman!
Convention: Anime Mid-Atlantic 3    (Experianced Level)
Series: Sailormoon SuperS (fourth season)
Desc.: Thrown together last minute when a serious plan fell through, we decided to just kick back and have fun. After a false start, the Muffins rock to Shania Twain's "Man! I Feel like a woman!" Good skanky fun.
Awards: BEST IN SHOW

Title: Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon
Convention: Katsucon 9     (Craftsmen Level)
Series: Sailormoon (first season)
Desc.: Put to the techno song 'Moonlight Shadow' from the DDR soundtrack, we put on a dramatic interpretation of the season that started it all. Once again blending influence from the series, manga, and SeraMyu musicals, the Silver Millenium and Dark Kingdom face off on the stage of Katsucon.
Awards: Best in Class : Craftsmen
             Judge's Award
             Honorable Mention : Performance

Title: Sailormoon R
Convention: Nekocon V    (Notice Level)
Series: Sailormoon R (second season)
Desc.: Set to the J-Pop song 'Evolution' by Ayumi Hamasaki, we sum up in exactly two minutes and fourty-four seconds, the entire second arc of Sailormoon. Combining various versions of the story (i.e. manga, anime, SeraMyu musicals..) but still taking some liberties, we perform Sailormoon as the cosplay world has never seen before.
Awards: Judge's Award : Best Choreography

Title: Bloodlust
Convention: Otakon 2002     (Experianced Level)
Series: Vampire Hunter D : Bloodlust
Desc.: A silent dramatic skit done to the techno remix of 'Phantom of the Opera'. Even though we still took a few director's liberties, it pretty much summerizes the entire movie.
Awards: none

Title: Bloodlust Gone Wrong
Convention: Anime Mid-Atlantic 2    (Experianced Level)
Series: Vampire Hunter D : Bloodlust, Sailormoon, Love Hina, J-Rock
Desc.: Charlotte sings to Meir Link ('Right Kind of Wrong' by Leanne Rhymes). Charlotte is oblivious and Meir kills bystanders and eventually seduces D.
Awards: BEST IN SHOW

Title: Anime Moulin Rouge
Convention: Katsucon 8    (Novice Level)
Series: Shoujo Kakumei Utena, Angel Sanctuary, Pokemon, Sailormoon

Mad Hatter as Pink, Misty as Lil' Kim and Sailorvenus as Christina Aguilera.
Awards: Judge's Award : Made Mark Blush
             Judge's Award : Edward

Awards: Best in Class : Novice

!  NEKOCON UPDATE !
The skit review and Member page update for Nekocon 2004 is complete. For the first time in our history, we've taken Best in Show at Nekocon, setting the stage for the rest of the convention year. News about Katsu should be up in a month or so, once the Neko skit gets it's deserved time as the top item on the page. I would like to thank everyone at the convention who recognized us and wished us luck, even though we didn't submit ourselves under any group name. We ain't goin' nowhere. See you at Katsucon ^_^
