THE DEATH OF DON JUAN

Following the CD release by Unseen Worlds, LESPA plans to present a premiere performance of Elodie Lauten's neo-opera The Death of Don Juan featuring operatic soprano Jenufa Gleich and the Americas Vocal Ensemble led by Nelly Vuksic. The venue will take place downtown Manhattan during the 2009 season. Wikipedia recognizes The Death of Don Juan as "one of the major postminimalist works of the 1980s."
