These are the real thing! The old-fashioned cottage of the 30's-50's, but updated for comfort. If you want that nostalgic "cottage experience" look no further.   The cottages are not in a
beach association, so the beach area is just for our guests.

The Seadog and Nymph occupy a slim, long lot directly on the lake, (50ft x 480 ft ) sharing the private Lake Huron beachThere is nothing (no road, house or public sidewalk) between you and the Lake)  I emphasize this because of a peculiar inaccuracy of the MapQuest and Google Maps, which shows a road which is not there!

The Seadog has the unobstructed view, while the Nymph sits 75 ft. behind and to the side of her sister cottage, affording partial views of the lake.  Both cottages are very close to the water, and far from the road.  The area is quiet and residential, with single family homes. We are not in a "beach association" or subdivision.  They are 6 miles south of Lexington and 12 miles north of Port Huron

A little about us, your hosts, Lisa and Steve Boss.   We have been renting our "Little White Cottages" since a few years after my dad passed away in 1992. 1995 was our first official year. I grew up in Dearborn in the 50's and would spend summers up here with my mom.  I moved to the Grand Rapids area in 1971, and my mom passed away in 1972. When my dad passed away I couldn't bear to let go of this last piece of the family and my childhood, even if it's hard for me to get up to Lexington very often, and we started renting them to cover some of the really high costs (I found out!) of keeping them. I think my dad and grandfather would really enjoy knowing that people can still have a good time at the places they built.

Our Philosophy is that we hope our guests will feel they are at their own "place on the lake" for a relaxing moment in time.

"A pleasure shared is a pleasure doubled"

We try to provide a lot of information on our website, and we are also happy to give references and descriptions of other area cottages that we have seen. Each cottage fills a special niche: some can accomodate pets, some have a nice walking beach, some are less expensive, etc. We want everyone to enjoy the Lexington and Port Huron area !
