| Reading the works of JRR Tolkien is great. He truly is a genius. My favorite author of course, and I have decided to create a website all about his work. Since I was ten or so, I always enjoyed fantasy genre books and games, and I finally read The Hobbit when I was about twelve. I loved it, and knew I had to read his other books. I started off reading The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. It seemed quite boring the first one hundred pages, so I put the book down, and stopped. The movie came out, and I watched it. The amazing adventure made me want to read it again, so I did. I read them all, but the story ended, and I wanted more. I realized there was more, The Silmarillion. I checked it out from the library and read it. I loved it, it was just truly amazing. Although not as detailed as I wished, it was great. I hate that Tolkien couldn't have lived longer, long enough to write a massive, detailed book. Well, that about sums up my Tolkien experiences, I'll just have to keep reading them over and over again. |
