Lynwood Park Tennis Club is located in Bells Corners, in the Lynwood Park. The address of the clubhouse is 7 Sycamore Drive and the phone number is 613-820-6852. A steward is on duty 7:00 pm to 9:00 p.m. until Labour Day. Monday through Friday

LPTC features four, lit, plexi-pave courts. Our season generally runs from mid-April to mid-October.

Membership / Registration

Details on joining are in the Newsletter below. Although LPTC is a private club, we welcome guests. Guest fees are $1 for children playing with a member, $2 for children playing without a member, $3 for adults playing with a member and $4 for adults playing without a member. Guest fees are payable to the steward on duty.

General Information

Welcome back, everyone!  We look forward to a great tennis season this year!! Court hours are from 8:00 am to 10:30 pm. For court bookings, please telephone the steward on duty, weekdays from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. When no steward is on duty, it is first come, first served.  If people are waiting, please limit playing time to one hour and consider doubles rather than singles.  Proper tennis attire is requested, and non-marking shoes are mandatory.  Please keep the gate locked at all times (there will be new keys this year – the old ones won’t work after May 1).

Lessons:  Details will be available at our Open House and will be posted in the clubhouse.

Level of play typically ranges from intermediate to intermediate-advanced.  No partner is required to participate in the above doubles activities.  Drop in anytime for Club Night and Ladies' Day.  Sign up for Team Tennis on the registration form: play each Friday is 45 minutes Men's and Ladies' doubles, then 45 minutes of mixed doubles.  Frequency of play varies depending on the number of players who are signed up (normally every second week).

 

 

 

New Referral Program

In an effort to increase our membership this year, we have a new referral program.  For every new membership you bring in, we’ll give you a 20% discount on your membership fee and the new member gets a 20% discount too!  We have amended our registration form to include a space for “referred by” so that we can issue refund cheques as required.  A new membership is defined as an individual or family who was not registered with our club in the 2006 season.  There is no limit on the number of new members that you can refer, so you could even reduce your membership fee to zero.  Let’s get out there and BRING IN NEW MEMBERS! 

 

 

 

Open House

This year our open house will be held on Sunday, April 22nd, from 1:30 to 4:00 pm.  Join us to sign up for the early bird discount and enjoy some tennis and free refreshments.  If you miss the Open House, you can mail or deliver the registration form to:  Bruce Besco, 49 Cherrywood Drive, Nepean, K2H 6H1.

Socials              

 

As it is every year, the Social Committee is hard at work planning several special evenings for club members.  Each gathering has a unique theme with food and activities to match.  We share a meal, enjoy relaxed conversation and play some tennis.  We usually come up with some surprising entertainment as well - you just never know what to expect!

 

We have a couple of ideas percolating but if you have suggestions, we'd love to hear them.

 

Watch the bulletin boards and the gate postings for details on our plans for this summer.  We will also circulate e-mails to our club members to notify them.  All club members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
