MAD Ultimate - Mercer Auglaize Darke Counties

Ultimate frisbee is one of the fastest growing sports in the nation. It is a lot of fun and competetive for those of you looking for that aspect. Our goal with this site is to spread the word about ultimate frisbee to the area and if possible form at least one teams. The UPA is the head organization for Ultimate frisbee in the nation. The site contains list of tournaments, people involved, and most importantly the rules. The best part about Ultimate is that its all about the spirit of the game, which is why we don't rely on officials for games. Poultry Days in Versailles, OH has one of the biggest Ultimate frisbee tournaments in the nation. Our goal for this year is to get a team together and attempt to represent the community. Ultimate frisbee takes a lot of work to perfect so it will be quite a commitment during season. Last year we had started a sunday ultimate scrimmage where we had up to 26 people out to play. This being our first year in attempting getting a club together we would be more than willing to teach people the techniques of throwing and catching. We will also be introducing different offenses and defenses in order to be efficient on the field.
