Marc Mero was born July 9, 1960. He hails from Buffalo, New York, and is 5 ft. 11 inches and weighs 235 pounds. Marc was a New York State Golden Gloves Boxing winner. He got his start in wrestling when he was spotted by "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes in a gym. Soon thereafter he signed with WCW where he took on the name Johnny B. Badd. He became a popular star in WCW, and won the WCW-TV Title twice. In 1996, Marc left WCW and signed with WWF calling himself "Wildman Marc Mero". He won the Intercontinental Title on September 23, 1996. Mid- 1997 Marc changed his name and started calling himself "Marvelous Marc Mero". In 1999 Marc left the WWF.
