Sara is the [former] orange pearl mermaid of the Indian Ocean. After a misunderstanding with Mitsuki Tarou, she ran off and became corrupted and evil. Later on, she develops a love for Gaito of the Panthalassa Clan and dies with him.
Mermaid Seira - Mitsukai Shirogane
Seira is Sara's successor, the new orange pearl mermaid of the Indian Ocean. In the second season (PURE), we mostly see glimpses of her in her spirit form, since her heart has been stolen by evil angel Mikeru. She is not "born" until the second-to-last episode.
