Consultant in Rehabilitation (Assistive) Technology providing technology solutions for those with special needs. John is educated at the Masters of Science level concentrating in technology solutions for reasonable accomodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act. We provide consulting services in rehabilitation technology & associated services offering solutions for the medical, disability, special education and long term care communities.
These solutions make use of a proper assessment emphasizing appropriate technology access, daily living, recreational and educational or vocational alternatives taking into account issues such as ergonomic positioning, mobility, vision, cognition and other special needs. After the evaluation process is complete an analysis of alternatives for implementation of solutions is created. This analysis takes into account observations and conclusions from the above, benefits vs. costs of alternatives and an investigation into procurement & training needs.
Additional services provided include technology in facility design, team facilitation, intent letter/proposal/grant research and submittal assistance, job development, transitioning, and technology troubleshooting on a variety of devices & software related to rehabilitation & assistive technology. Training is provided on a number of hardware and software solutions with special emphasis on voice recognition and hands free computing. Voice recognition solution provision extends to other markets such as health care providers, the legal community and public safety as well as other professional market sectors.
