Hello! My name is Mikhail Smirnov.
I was trained in Russia as a musician and conductor of Russian folk song choir.
My specialty is traditional Russian folk music and songs from various regions of Russia.
I am a professional Russian folk singer, performer, musician and director/founder of
Russian folk dance and music ensemble
Barynya based in New York, USA.
I also play Russian folk instruments such as
garmoshka,
balalaika, bass balalaika, contrabass balalaika,
gusli and zhaleika.
In 1998 I registered and begin to design and promote
Russian entertainment database website.
Russian entertainment database was the first on-line Russian
