June 12, 1973, Muhammad Muazzem Hossain was born in a small village
named Birsingha situated in Jamalpur, one of the northern districts of
Bangladesh. He is the nineth member of the soccer team of Mr. Abed Ali
and Mrs. Saida Khatun. His early education started in the family. He
finished his primary school in 1983 from Ulia Primary School and his
high school in 1989 from Chinaduly SN High School. In 1991, he obtained
his Higher Secondary Certificate from Dhaka College, one of the
prominent colleges in Bangladesh. The pursuit of higher education made
him leave his country and landed him in International Islamic
University, Mayalsia, from where he completed his bachelor's degree in
business administration in 1996. After having worked as a Lecturer in
Olympia College, Malaysia for few years, he continued his journey of
higher education and moved to the United States in 2001. He obatained his Master
of Science in Information Technologies in 2004 from the University of North Texas,
Denton, Texas,USA. Currently, Hossain is pursuing his doctoral degree in operations
management science in the department of Information Technology and
Decision Sciences of the University of North Texas.
Mr. Hossain is a member of the International Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma and active in the Decision Sciences Institute. He has published articles in referred journals including the IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management and presented papers at conferences that include the Annual Meeting of Decision Sciences Institute and the Baldrige Award Recipients (BAR) Consortium. Mr. Hossain plans to pursue an academic career in the fields of management science and management information systems. He is interested in conducting research in these fields with particular interests in the following areas: RFID technology, electronic commerce systems, business intelligence and business performance management, quality and productivity, services management, latent semantic analysis, latent dirichlet analysis, simulation, Bayesian estimation, and maximum likelihood estimation. |
The 21st Century World The Twenty-First Century World is different - different because it is shrinking to a global village in communication and trade, different because it is witnessing unprecedented technological breakthroughs, different because it is moving toward unified global culture, different because it is becoming alarmingly environmentally imbalanced, but most importantly, different because it does not distinguish right from wrong. The 21st Century World is about winning or losing. |
