Here are photos from Center Line Number 1 Fire Truck open house.
This truck was the only fire truck in Centerline and Warren Township
for many years
and served from 1926-1957
Its high axels big tires and chain drive made it the only truck capable
of navigating the dirt, mud lanes called roads.
The Friends of the Fire Truck is a
501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to complete the
purchase of the fire truck and begin restoration so that it can be used
for community events. A fund-raising dinner is being planned for later
this year. Your individual donation can also help them accomplish their
goal.
