We're located in the lower level of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ogden (though we're not a religious program) at the southeast corner of 23rd and Madison. The entrance is in the rear of the building (where the parking lot is). Please enter at the top of the handicapped ramp and ring the doorbell for entry.
We offer snacks and beverages (including soup / sandwiches); a regulation pool table, board games, cards, art and craft supplies, an XBox with games and dance pads, computers, and several TV's for video games and movies (many are LGBT themed).
The center is open on Wednesdays from 3:30pm to 8:00pm for open-minded youth, especially LGBT&Q youth and their friends and allies, between the ages of 14 and 17.
We have an ample library of LGBT&Q books and DVDs, which we lend out on the honor system or which can be used on site.
Twice a year, we offer a Parents of LGBT&Q Children night. This provides an opportunity for parents to interact with LGBT&Q adults to expand the dialog about concerns parents might have for their gay children. As opportunities and interest present, we'll also offer access to other LGBT&Q friendly organizations to visit with our regular attendees.
We offer a safe, comfortable haven where you can come to be free of the judgment, harassment and discomfort that is a fixture in many of our lives. We offer a drug, alcohol and hate free zone. |
