Parking
The two Six Flags ran parking lots are highlighted in the images below in blue or gold. The East Lot is located along the Georgia Scorcher, Mindbender, Batman and DeJa'Vu, among other rides. There is a tram service that makes 3 stops in this lot and takes guest from the lot to the entrance or vice-versa, although the walk isn't bad if you park anywhere near Batman. The second parking lot is the Gold Lot, also known as the West Lot. This lot is located along the Georgia Cyclome and is closer to the park entrance. The shortest walk to the park will most likely be obtained from parking in this lot. For the best value, get a parking season pass. These will save you money if you plan to visit the park frequently. (When purchasing a Parking season pass, be sure to bring your parking ticket with you to the Will Call window for a refund of that day's parking fee decucted from the price of the pass.) There are several bogus parking lots (more exist than are shown) that look park run but are not that will try and "flag" you in as you enter park grounds. Some of these are very persistent and annoying. I wouldn't recommend parking in these lots because you are taking a risk at having your car locked in the lot and/or being broken into. Simply drive past them and park in one of the real parking lots. The park entrance is located at the purple T.
A brief history
The FlashPass
FlashPasses are easy to use. Simply take them to the FlashPass scanner outside any FlashPass enabled ride and scan your FlashPass. You are given a return time. Return to the ride 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after your return time and scan your FlashPass at the "enter here" sign. Now just walk up the FlashPass entrance, wait in a usually short line and enjoy the ride! For your convenience, I have labeled all of the FlashPass enabled rides with a
Examples of FlashPass scenarios are listed below. The first thing written is the FlashPass reading. The second is the meaning of the reading.

Six Flags Over Georgia was the second of only three of the original Six Flags parks to be built from the ground up as a Six Flags park- built just seven years after Six Flags Over Texas at a cost of $12 million. Outside of Six Flags Over Texas, Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags St. Louis, the rest of the Six Flags parks were bought and later added to the chain. After opening Six Flags Over Texas in 1961, Angus Wynne, Six Flag's founder, sold Six Flags to Penn Central Railroad Corporation in 1965 and Six Flags has been owned by various companies since including Time Warner and Bally Manufacturing, among many others. Six Flags over Georgia got it's name and it's six original themes from the six flags that flew over Georgia throughout it's history. The six original themed areas were the Georgia area, British area, Spanish area (now Bugs Bunny's World), Confederate area, French area and the USA area. The Cotton States Exposition area, Lickskillet area, Jolly Roger's Island area (now Gotham City) and Carousel Hill were added after park opening. Six Flags Over Georgia is owned only in part by Six Flags so as a result recieves alot of investment each year (Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags Over Texas are the only Six Flags parks that have a limited investor partnership, meaning the financial investments are mainly decided upon by investors, while Six Flags Inc. handles the daily operation of the parks). Six Flags Over Georgia was built throughout the mid 1960s and opened its gates for the first time on June 7, 1967 with $2.75 admission (admission is now $49.99- a 94% increase from 1967). Through time, Six Flags Over Georgia has changed drastically with updates and removals of popluar rides, attractions and areas throughout the park. Although through the years, one thing has remained the same: Six Flags Over Georgia's commitment to family fun, which has been it's mission season after season since opening day. Six Flags Over Georgia is considered to be one of the best Six Flags theme parks to date, with an extensive and innovative history of rides, attractions and shows. Six Flags will continue to bring families closer together through it's vast assortment of spectacular attractions, creating memories that last a lifetime.
FlashPasses are available for rent in the Promenade near the Georgia Cyclome and park entrance. FlashPasses were installed in 2001 by Lo-Q (Six Flags Over Georgia was the first park in the U.S. to have FlashPasses installed. They were originally called "Q-bots" and ran on the "Fastlane" system but in 2006 Six Flags renamed them to "FlashPasses" and they now run on the "FlashPass" system) with a rental fee of just $5 and $5 for each additional guest but prices have since skyrocketed. A FlashPass waits in line for you so you don't have to. There are 2 types of FlashPasses available. The regular, old-fashioned FlashPass is what most guest renting a FlashPass choose. With this FlashPass, you get on some of Six Flags Over Georgia's most popular attractions without having to wait in the normal line. For example, if the wait for the monster plantation is 10 minutes, you'll get told to return in 5 minutes. If you are told to return to Batman in 50 minutes, you are allowed to enter the ride through the FlashPass entrance anywhere between 45-55 minutes after recieving your time- 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after your return time. This goes for any FlashPass enabled ride and all FlashPass tpyes. But, in order avoid waiting in line, you'll have to pay a hefty price. I think FlashPasses are a huge rip-off, but, they do save you the time and frustration of waiting in long lines. FlashPasses should be rented at your call but only if the park is busy. On slow days, FlashPasses may not even be available for rent but if they are, Six Flags will try to lure you in by offering 2-for-1 specials, among other various offers. On these days, FlashPasses are not needed and you'll be better off going through the normal lines. The prices for the Regular FlashPass are as follows: $25-1 guest, $40-2 guest, $55-3 guest, $70-4 guest, $85-5 guest, $100-6 guest. The next type of FlashPass available is the Gold FlashPass. This FlashPass makes you wait just minutes before riding your favorite attraction, even if the normal line is hours. In my opinion, this FlashPass is a huge waste of money and shouldn't be rented, but, I'll give you the prices anyway. The prices for the Gold FlashPass are as follows: $50-1 guest, $75-2 guest, $100-3 guest, $125-4 guest, $150-5 guest, $175-6 guest. Disabled quest are provided with a FlashPass free of charge by obtaining a slip from guest relations that you take to the FlashPass kiosk for your free FlashPass. While this is not available to the general public, it is a great value! If you wish to aquire a free FlashPass, simply go to guest relations, tell them your "disabiltiy" and ask for a FlashPass slip or something of that sort. Now, I'm not recomending you go out and try this, but, if you do have a disablity (such as bad feet... yes, when I went, they counted bad feet as a disability), guest relations will gladly give you a slip for a free FlashPass (pretty neat tip, huh?).

Ah, the infamous additional charge attractions. If you're willing to pay a little extra, you may want to try out some of Six Flags Over Georgia's additional attractions. I haven't been on any of them except the haunted house because of the steep prices (I'm kinda cheap). I personally think these are a rip off-- there are plenty of free (with park admission) attractions to enjoy at Six Flags Over Georgia without paying extra. The additional fee attractions are listed below:
$7 single, $8 double
This is a go-kart attraction to the left of Thomas Town (it opened in 1999, at the former location of the park's back entrance). You must be at least 58" to dirve by yourself (in a single go-kart). You must be 58" and 18 years old to drive with a passenger at least 40" (in a double go-kart).
$6 per person
This is a haunted house located in the U.S.A. section of the park. It scared me, but then again, most haunted houses scare me. I personally don't like haunted houses but if your a fan of them and are willing to pay the entrance fee, I'm sure you will enjoy Fearman's Manor.
$30 for 1, 2 or 3 people
Introduced in 1996, you fly 180 feet over the Cotton States Exposition section of the park on this hard to describe thrill ride. I've heard its thrilling but I'm sure its not as good as Acrophobia and at $30, I think I'll sit this one out. Located right next to the entrance to The Great American Scream Machine.
$7 for 15 minutes, $12 for 25 minutes or $15 for an all day pass
Try several different virtual reality experiences, all in one location. I have no idea what this attraction is other than a set of virtual reality games. Whenever I walk past it, it is empty and I have no urge to try it out since I'm not a fan of additional fee attractions, especially those that seem boring. Formally called the "Beta Zone". This attraction is located near the Monster Plantation exit.
$5 per person
This attraction lets you choose such films as "Toy Coaster", "Arctic Run", "Fright Nite", "Haunted Mine" and "Road Fury" to watch in a 10-seat motion simulator. I've never tried this particular attraction but have tried other simulators and they've been ok, no where as fun as a real ride though. Replaced the NASCAR raceway motion simulator. This attraction is located to the left of Fearman's Manor haunted house, close to Free Fall.
$1, $2, $3, $4 or $5 per play
Six Flags Over Georgia features a wide selection of games, the most notable in the USA section near the Goliath station and the Cotton States Exposition area near The Great American Scream Machine. There is also a small set of games in the Lickskillet area of the park near the Wheelie and many more scattered throughout the park. If you win a game, you usually get a poorly made stuffed animal, varying in size depending on the difficulty of the game. The most common stuffed animals include characters from: Spongebob, Sesame Street and The Simpsons. Other prizes available include scooters, basketballs (from the basketball toss games) and footballs (from the football toss game).
Six Flags Over Georgia hosts a vast selection of special events throughout the course of the year. Below is a brief list of the main events that are regularly hosted at the park. For a complete list of events, click here.
A weekend featuring some of the hottest acts in Christian music.
A three day event featuring fun, music and fellowship in the South's largest Christian music festival. A separate ticket is required for this event (three-day all-inclusive tickets start at $66). For more information, click here.
A weeklong event saluting America's heritage with American pastimes, including fireworks July 4. Sponsored by WSBTV.
A weekend featuring special events just for kids. Activities include children's concerts (such as Aaron Carter or Raven), interactive exhibits, games and much, much more.
A one day event where Six Flags Over Georgia throws a fiesta like no other.
A month long event where the entire park transforms into a haunted wonderland, featuring two haunted houses ($8 for one or $14 for both), shows, contests, concerts and much, much more.
