I started modeling in 1989 and the very first thing I did was make the top 98 out of 24,000 in the 1990 Teen Magazine Model Search! [That's better than half way up the top 1% -- editor's comment.] It's the same search Kathy Ireland got her start. I just kept with it and finally about one and a half years ago I was able to model full time which has been an unforgettable experience for me. I never thought a small town, hillbilly-type girl like myself would ever make it this far, but I definitely am glad since perserverance paid off.
I have a horse farm on the side which I'm hoping will soon be my full time job for the rest of my life. I've been showing horses since the age of eight. It's always been my passion. Now I show horses like Hunter Hack and Western Pleasure. Back in 1991, I finished 3rd for Performance Horse-of-the-Year in Ohio. I was so happy I cried.
I'm very persistent. I always try to put 110% into everything I do. I also love making people laugh and love being silly. [A well developed sense of humor is a valuable quality in a woman! -- another editor's comment.]
I have a four-year-old daughter who is going into kindergarten this fall. Look out world; here she comes!!!!
I'm retiring from modeling very soon and will most likely stay at home, manage the horses, and raise my "hell on wheels." My life is very pleasant. I can honestly say that I am a happy person.
