| Current Accredition Dr.Rajagopal is currently working with Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Speriores de Monterrey-ITESM (Monterrey Institute od Technology and Higher Education) as Professor of Marketing in Graduate School of Administration and Management (EGADE) in Mexico City Campus. Dr. Rajagopal is also Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufacture and Commerce (RSA), London. He has been conferred the honor of Fellow of RSA in August 2006 in view of his academic achievement towards research, teaching and training for over two decades. Dr. Rajagopal has been admitted as professional Member of the Chartered Management Institute,, Northants, UK in 2008 considering his acomplishments in managerial training and consultancy services. In January 2009 he has been admitted as Fellow of the Institute of Operations Management, Northants, UK. Dr. Rajagopal has been enlisted in Who's Who in the World and his biography has appeared in the Who's Who in the World, in the 25th Anniversary Edition, 2008 and 2009 published by Marquis Who's Who in the World LLC, USA. Dr Rajagopal has also been included with biography and academic citations in the prestegious publication "2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century" , Summer 2008 published by the International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, England. Tec de Monterrey is the premier institute of technology and management education in Mexico with 33 campuses across the states. He teaches corporate marketing management and related subjects to the students pursuing their Master's and Bachelor's degree. He teaches Competitor Analysis, Marketing Strategy, Advance Sales Management, Advertising and Communication, Services Marketing and other subjects of contemporary interest of the students. Dr. Rajagopal is also conducting the sessions on marketing management in the Doctoral Program of ITESM for the participats prospecting for Ph.D degree. He has also been assigned the teaching of sessions on marketing management in the Execultuve MBA program jointly offerred by the ITESM and University of Texas at Austin during 2001-2002. Dr. Rajagopal has been appointed as Member, Editorial Board of the Journal of Retail and Leisure Property (ISSN 1479-1110), published by Palgrave Macmillan, UK since December 2007. Also he serves as Member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the journal Innovative Marketing, published by Business Perspectives, Ukraine. He is also Member of the Scientific Councile of the Journal of Tourism, published under the aegis of University of Suceava, Romania. Dr. Rajagopal holds the position of Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Leisure and Tourism Marketing, published by Inderscience, UK. Academic Contributions Dr. Rajagopal holds the Masters and Doctoral Degrees in Economics with interdesciplinary specialization in Agribusiness and Marketing Management from Ravishankar University in India. He has specialisation in Brand Management, Selling Systems, Services Marketing, International Marketing, Rural Economic Linkages and Development Economics; He has worked with National Institute of Rural Development, Institute of Rural Management,National Insitute of Agricultural Management and Administrative Staff College of India in senior academic postions. All these institutes are of national and international repute in India.He has to his credit many research contributions which include Books (28), research papers (156), research reports (45), working papers (70), marketing cases (48), innovative courseware including self-instruction material for distance education (16) and conference papers (54) as on November 2008. His papers have been published in; many international refereed journals which include Development and Practice (UK), Journal of Brand Management (UK), Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing (USA), Journal of Economics and Management (Taiwan), Applied Econometics and International Development (Spain), Economic Issues (UK), Global Business and Economics Review (USA), Latin American Business Review (USA) and many other journals of repute. His books include Marketing : Strategy, Implementation and Control, Organizing Rural Business, Marketing Management : Text and Cases in Indian Context, Rural Marketing : Policy Planning and Management, International Marketing-Global environment, corporate strategies and case studies, Marketing Dynamics: Theory and Practice, Brand Management-Strategy, measurement and yield analysis, Dynamics of International Trade and Economy and Globalization Thrust: Driving Nations Competitive, which are popular among the students and practitioners. Dr. Rajagopal has also authored many corporate cases for effective class room discussion in reference to Indian and Latin American companies. He also worked with the Development Administrative Group of School of Public Policy, University of Birmingham on rural urban linkages. He is consultant to many international organizations that include Oxford Policy Management, Scottish Development Overseas etc. He had also served as nominated member of the working group on Command Area Irrigation of the Tenth Five Year Plan constituted by the Planning Commission of Government of India during 2000-2001. Dr.Rajagopal received National Merit Scholarship during his post-graduation and was Fellow of Indian Council of Social Science Research , during his Doctoral Programme. He has received the Recognition in Level 2 of the National System of Researchers (Sisetema Nacional de Investgadors-SNI), Government of Mexico for his academic and research contributions.There are four levels of recognitions instituted by SNI, Government of Mexico, that include Research Candidate, Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 in the ascending order of academic excellence since January 2004. Research and Consultancy He has completed 41 research andconsultancy projects in the areas of marketing, empowerment, gender, rural development, corporate strategy, virtual business strategies and competitor analysis. He has contributed in contrywide class room through as many as seven films on marketing for the University Grants Commission of India. These films are being telecast under countrywide classroom programme. He has been imparting training to the senior and middle level executives of the corporate sector, government and international executives on general management and specific marketing management programmes. He has conducted 56 Management Development Programmes at varoious institutes at national and international destinations till December 2008. More about career and family He has worked on various agricultural and rural development research studiesin association with national and international organizations. His areas of interests include marketing management, rural-urban linkages and development management. He is consultant to many Indian and International business research organisations. He has a good family forming the core with his wife Arati and two children Ms.Ananya (Daughter) and Mr. Amritanshu (Son). |
