    The Psi Report

The Psi Report began as the Newsletter of the Scottish Society for Psychical Research (SSPR.) in 1987.

For the first 16 issues it consisted of photocopied A4 sheets.

The present A5 booklet goes back to 1989 and the name ‘Psi Report’ was adopted in 1992 with issue no. 42.

Daphne Plowman has been the Editor from the outset.

The geocities.com/psi_reportuk site was established originally as a development page with a direction to the SSPR’s website, www.sspr.org.uk and until recently it carried the same information.

The Editor now wishes to update the geocities site to offer some of the material from past Psi Reports to a wider audience and provide a platform for expanding her ideas relating to psychical research and paranormal phenomena.

Plowman's Paranormal Platform

We should explain that ψ, the Greek letter psi, is used by parapsychologists as a convenient shorthand for psychic phenomena such as extra-sensory perception (ESP) and psychokinesis (PK).

We shall also use the symbol ψ in a cartoon character ‘psiman’ (which rhymes with Simon).
