Description:

The Alma Tavern Pub Theatre opened three years ago.  It is the home to Theatre West (who put on up to eight plays a year) and a diverse range of other small local theatre companies.  It is also available for hire to touring companies at very reasonable rates

Theatre West produces a broad mixture of classics (Gogol, Genet, Beckett, Pinter, etc.) and new plays by local writers.

It has a small, but well equipped studio theatre upstairs from the pub. It seats fifty.

The pub itself is a popular, recently renovated old pub serving cheap food and decorated with lovely old theatre posters.
