TIP OF THE

ICEBERG

ICEBERGS can be as much as 300 feet high

and extend 1000 feet into the ocean.

This picture was taken on a very clear day

near the southern tip of Newfoundland.

A member of the crew from an oil rig took the picture at the surface

of the ocean.

They use tug boats to change the course of the iceberg.

This one is estimated at 300,000,000 tons.
