Sachigo Lake First Nation is located about 400 kilometres north of Sioux Lookout, Ontario. Access to Sachigo Lake is provided by a year round airport. Regular air service is available to the regional centres of Sioux Lookout, Thunder Bay and Winnipeg. According to band statistics from September 1991, the population residing on Sachigo Lake Reserve consisted of about 400 band members plus 20 status non-band members. There are about 150 band members living off-reserve.
