If you have read the job description and requirements and are interested in becoming a Volunteer Reserve Firefighter for the city of Santa Clara please do the following:

  1. Complete a volunteer firefighter application. Applications are available at SCFD fire administration at 777 Benton Street in Santa Clara or on the web at: http://www.ci.santa-clara.ca.us/hu_resources/hr_employ_app.html

 

  1. Submit the application to V/R Assistant Chief Henry Machens at SCFD Fire Administration, 777 Benton Street, Santa Clara CA, 95050

 

  1. Testing for volunteer firefighters generally takes place every six months. Qualified applicants will be contacted at this time for a physical agility exam and oral board interview.
