URL Parser and More
The DCScript© URL Parser has been published here on Javascripts.com. That said, many other sites spider these pages and add them to their script libraries. This is where all the popularity comes from.
There’s also a new script, the DeadCentre script. This takes care of the problem with pure CSS centering: you had to know the exact height and width of the element you want centred. This script takes care of that for you.
DCScript NewsReader
A new script was written and released today, the DCScript NewsReader. It reads out data from an XML RSS feed and displays it in a user–friendly way.
New Scripts
To celebrate the grand re-opening of The Dante Domocile I have written two new scripts: the Code Master, for converting HTML source to entities, and The AcroMaster, for dynamically applying titles to ACRONYM tags. Enjoy.
Backwards Text Generator
I completely rewrote the Backwards Text generator. The problem with the old script was that if you copied the text, it appeared normal. The Backwards Text 2.0 has solved that bug.
The Spam Experiment
DCScript CEO Dante Evans has started a new project called The Spam Experiment. It will demonstrate the power of spambots. He will set up a new email address, and a page with a bunch of mailto: links. In a while he will report his findings.
Recall Issued
Dante Evans, CEO of DCScript has issued a recall on the DCScript Word Counter. The error was that it gave incorrect numbers sometimes. This was caused by the fact that the script counts the number of spaces instead of words. A regular expression should fix that.
Also Dante's Hell for Standards has hit a snag: there is no such thing as a valid XHTML page on the free Geocities. They insert text after the page that screws it up. Since I must have a valid XHTML page to compare the bad one to, DHFS may not be a reality...
Finally DCScript has stopped publishing scripts on javascripts.com, due to poort editing. All new DCScripts will appear at scriptsearch.com.
