Naval intelligence learns that Al Qaeda terrorist Kabir Atef (Francesco Quinn), brother of the man Mac and Harm (Catherine Bell, David James Elliott) prosecuted in a military tribunal, is planning a missile attack on the U.S. fleet in the Arabian Sea with the help of a legendary Russian submarine commander (Bo Svenson). To prevent the disaster, Mac is dispatched to the USS Seahawk; Harm pilots a fighter; and Turner (Scott Lawrence), a former submariner who knows the Russian's tactics, is sent aboard the Navy's engaging sub. But at the eleventh hour, they learn that the missile's warhead carries unshielded unranium.

Harm and Mac investigate a "collateral damage" incident in Afghanistan when an attack on an Al Queda terrorist kills three innocent civilians. With the help of forensic pathologist Cmdr. Teresa Coulter, Mac and Harm try to find out if any of the remains can be identified as belonging to Al Queda leaders. Meanwhile, when Harm and Mac lose control of their Humvee, they are thrown into a minefield where they're forced to spend the night together figuring out how to extricate themselves from the trap.

Harm defends an upstanding JAG judge accused of causing a car accident that injured another driver and killed her six-month old child. JAG judge Capt. Sebring proves to be a difficult client as he insists that Harm not reveal personal family secrets, which seem to prove that he is prone to fits of rage. But when the other driver takes the stand, Harm finds that certain facts just don't add up. Meanwhile, CIA agent Clayton Webb continues the search for Kabir, the elusive Al Qaeda terrorist who was last seen making a suspicious deal with a senior Russian Navy submarine captain.

Port Chicago 04.09.02
In 1944, in the midst of World War II, a disastrous explosion rocked the U.S. Navy's Port Chicago near San Francisco, killing more than 350 sailors, most of them African-Americans. Following the blast, a group of 50 sailors refused to return to work until changes were made to assure their safety. They were charged with mutiny and court martialed, but later their convictions were reversed. Now, a surviving sailor wants his record and those of all the other "mutineers" cleared. Asked to handle the investigation discreetly, Cmdr. Turner discovers that an injustice was done and goes head-to-head with Lt. Singer in the courtroom. Meanwhile, Harm goes house shopping with Lt. Sims.

When Harm and Mac are called in to investigate an aborted SEAL operation in Afghanistan, Harm accuses a television news reporter accompanying the SEALs for disobeying orders and causing the error. Meanwhile, Lt. Roberts receives his orders and, leaving Harriet and A.J. behind, ships out for a six-month deployment aboard the USS Seahawk.

When Harm and Mac board the destroyer to investigate the cause of the fire, a young sailor who smoked in a restricted area is implicated. But when further evidence is revealed, Harm discovers that the seaman may be willing to risk his career in order to protect someone he considers to be a hero. Meanwhile, Admiral Chegwidden takes up the cause of a World War II veteran who is excluded from a presidential function because he was recently charged with shoplifting.

Tensions run high at JAG when charges of negligence are brought against Bud for not defending his last client effectively. As Harm defends Bud, Sturgis prosecutes and Bud dreads that Sturgis has damaging evidence against him. But just when Bud thinks things can't get any worse, Sturgis calls a surprise witness -- Mac -- who reluctantly takes the stand against her colleague.
The Mission 02.26.02 Screen Captures
The 150th episode entitled "Mission" written by Stephen Zito takes us to the Persian Gulf and the flying of a mission into Afghanistan. It deals with Rules of Engagement and is based in part on a true incident early in the aerial campaign. Harm and Mac work together in this one while Bobby Latham taps Sturgis to work as her aide for a military appropriations session. Bud and Singer are locked in a head to head court battle while the Admiral suggests that for the sake of his career path, Bud should consider sea duty or a foreign posting. Harriet agrees for a myraid of reason, most of which Bud doesn't agree with.
Zap2it -- Harm and Mac are sent to the U.S.S. Seahawk to brief JAG officers on the new Rules of Engagement following the escape of Taliban fighters as a result of a JAG officer's hesitation to determine if the target was legitimate.
While Harm is aboard the ship, the captain asks him to fly the bombing mission into Afghanistan. However, Harm's excitement changes to concern when his plane sustains critical damage from enemy fire. Meanwhile, a jealous Lt. Singer sabotages Bud's case when she hears of his imminent promotion.
Head to Toe 02.05.02 Screen Captures
Harm and Mac are sent to Saudi Arabia to defend a female U.S. Naval pilot who refuses to follow the local laws and wear traditional Saudi dress and veils.
Lt. Joanne Donato's outspoken refusal to be escorted by males in public and to wear proper attire causes a strain on relations between a U.S. base commander and a local Muslim cleric. It also causes Mac to feel that the lieutenant is simply being a bad soldier and disobeying orders -- that is until Mac is forced to abide by the policies herself.
Meanwhile, Commander Turner and Senator Bobby Latham have a rocky first date, making the possibility of a second seem remote -- until Harriet and Bud come to the rescue.
Odd Man Out 01.29.02
Bud learns another lesson about being a lawyer when he's a jurist on a case that Harm defends and Mac prosecutes.

Harm befriends the widow of a Special Ops soldier who died while his unit was attempting to recover another casualty. Complicating matters, Harm is assigned to defend the soldier's commanding officer, who is being prosecuted for causing an unnecessary death. Also, Mac defends Adm. A.J. Chegwidden when he's filmed slapping a high-school student.
Capital Crime 01.08.02
Mac's psychic vision talents come into play when a female Naval officer is found with her throat slashed in a local park.
What originally seems like an open and shut case involving a love triangle that led to murder becomes much more when Mac's "visions" show her puzzling images that lead to evidence of an international conspiracy. Together with Sturgis Turner, Mac follows the clues to uncover information that leads them to a possible terrorist plot in Russia to steal nuclear weapons.

Harm finds himself saddled with responsibility for a pretty, larcenous female petty officer over the Christmas break because all the brigs are closed for the holidays.
Adding to Harm's holiday woes are several puzzling cell phone calls from a CIA agent and the apparent theft of the Corvette he was rebuilding.
Meanwhile, Admiral Chegwidden finds himself in the limelight and being called Scrooge when the public reacts angrily at the Navy for rounding up and holding reindeer that wandered onto the runway at a U.S. airbase in Finland.

Harm defends a Naval lieutenant who claims he disobeyed orders and bombed a U.S. Navy spy plane held hostage by the Chinese because he believed it was the right thing to do.
Harm and Sturgis go head to head at the lieutenant's court-martial as Harm tries to keep him out of Leavenworth, where he could be sentenced to 25 years for his actions.
Meanwhile, Mac investigates a charge of sexual harassment when a female officer charges a Marine colonel with humiliating her publicly when her training tape is shown on the television show "Military Bloopers."
Dog Robber (Part 1) 11.20.01
The Chinese government, claiming that a U.S. Navy spy plane invaded its air space and collided with a Chinese fighter plane killing its pilot, takes the damaged spy plane and its crew hostage.
Harm is sent to China as part of a military delegation to facilitate the freeing of the crew and plane, which is outfitted with highly sensitive surveillance equipment. Working on a hunch, Harm brings evidence to the Chinese that successfully forces the release of the U.S. crew, but not the plane. Then, as Harm returns safely with the crew to a U.S. aircraft carrier, one of the U.S. Navy fighter escorts returns to the Chinese airfield against orders and takes matters into his own hands.
JAG-a-Thon 11.13.01
Personal rivalries surface in the JAG office when Mac assures Harm that she'll beat him to the finish line in the JAG-a-Thon for charity.
Harm then sticks his foot in his mouth by giving Mac a three-minute head start in the race. Meanwhile, testosterone levels rise when Gunny and Tiner battle head to head to see who is in the best condition for the race. And, true to form, Lt. Singer starts a betting pool on who will finish the race last, leaving Lt. Roberts feeling crushed that his co-workers favor him.
Ambush 11.06.01
Harm defends a Marine officer accused of disobeying orders by pursuing rebels after they attacked a U.N. convoy, thus causing the death of six Marines in an ambush.
Officially, Captain Shepard (guest star Ian Ziering, "Beverly Hills, 90210") was ordered to just guard the U.N. convoy. But the captain insists to Harm that he was, in fact, following other orders to attack that were implied by his commanding officer. As the investigation progresses, Harm finds the chain of evidence goes high up the political ladder to Congresswoman Bobbi Latham who may, herself, have played a part in the implied orders.
Redemption 10.30.01
Harm is forced to violate his legal oath of attorney-client privilege when, in the course of defending a military friend on a separate matter, Harm uncovers proof that this friend was selling Stealth secrets.
Harm is in the process of defending his friend accused of fraternization with a female officer under his command when he uncovers the information regarding the Stealth fighter. Harm is then forced to make a decision: put his job on the line because legally, he cannot report the discovery since it was revealed in the course of a different case; or do the right thing and report the information. Meanwhile, Mac attempts to help a young lieutenant who is trying to win custody of her daughter from her abusive husband.

When two cryptanalysts are murdered and one wounded in a secure room, Harm investigates and learns that one of the victims was an old friend. Meanwhile, Mac tries to find out if the girl she left behind in Indonesia is alive.
Guilt 10.16.01
Following the transfer of a U.S. Marine accused of rape from the local Indonesian police to his CO at the consulate, the consulate comes under siege by angry, armed locals and Mac finds herself in charge of the dire situation.
When the commander of the Marine detachment is killed and his next-in-command is blinded during the surprise attack, Mac realizes that she is next in command and must organize the emergency evacuation of the consulate while under fire.
New Gun In Town 10.02.01
Unwilling to face all the questions regarding her split from Mic Brumby on the eve of their wedding, Mac requests and is granted temporary duty aboard the USS Guadalcanal, a Marine Task Force command ship on maneuvers in the Indian Ocean. Harm returns from Rene's father's funeral to resume duty at JAG. He's delighted to learn that CMDR Sturgis Turner, his roommate at the Naval Academy and good friend, has been assigned to JAG.

Still aboard the USS Guadalcanal, Mac is called upon to prosecute a Major accused of negligent homicide by the ship's Captain.
Much to Mac's surprise and dismay, Harm arrives on board to defend the Major and also try to clear the air with Mac regarding their relationship. But as they both become entrenched in the case in which the victim drowned during a nighttime exercise in extremely bad weather conditions, they're hard-pressed to find time to discuss their personal business.
Meanwhile, Admiral Chegwidden has his hands full with his teenage goddaughter who has run away from home.
Adrift (Part 2) 9.25.01
Harm is feared lost at sea as Mac's wedding party awaits word from the rescue carrier about when it can resume the search in the storm-tossed Atlantic.
As Harm begins to lapse into the final stages of hypothermia, his only hope is to make contact with his potential rescuers by holding onto a sonar buoy. Meanwhile, Mic can't help but notice Mac's distress over losing Harm and he makes a decision about their future that may leave Mac on her own.
