Ni Wayan Ekarini: Balinese Dancer
Ni Wayan Ekarini began to study dance with her grandmother, Ni Ketut Reneng (one of Bali's most famous dancers) at age seven. Through the years she has also studied with Ibu Jero Puspawati, Bapak Nyoman Djayus Sst, I Gusti Ayu Raka Astuti, I Gusti Putu Oka Nik and many others.

Ni Wayan Ekarini is a consecrated temple dancer and has performed throughout Bali. She was invited to Holland in 1999 where she performed at the Tropen Museum (Amsterdam) and Rijksmuseum (Leiden). In 1998 her dance group won the competition at the annual Bali Art Festival in denpasar,Bali.
She has performed at the following temples in Bali:
Pura Besakih, Pura Dalem Batu Pageh, Pura Uluwatu, Pura Rambut Siwi, Pura Tanah Lot, Pura Dalem Batu Bolong, Pura Pulaki, Pura Pemuteran, Pura Batukaru, Pura Melanting, Pura Luhur Beringin Kedaton, pura Budha Cemeng Celuk, Pura Desa Cempaga, among others.

She is also a consecrated traditional healer and medium.
