FLAT KANALE - FLAT STANLEY ALOHA!!! We just started a new program called FLAT STANLEY... I had a wonderful email from a Scouter in Killeen, TX who introduced me to the program. Kanale is the Hawaiian translation for Stanley So, Den 12 from Honolulu's Pack 115 is sending out our own scouts to have adventures! *see the picture at left as a sample* We're also hoping to trade CSPs (Council Shoulder Patches) with each Pack 'Kanale' visits. There will also be a map of the US where we will plot out the many adventures that 'Kanale' will have. So, keep an eye out and see where 'Kanale' is today! Raye
![]() UPDATES:
June 7 from Jackon, MI Flat Kanale wanted me to give you a quick update. He made it to Michigan comfortably. He was happy to get out of the bag but his trip was uneventful. He met most of the Cubs at the first outting of the summer. He rode in the float in the Jackson Rose Parade with our Cubs. His picture was taken with them. It was a hot day but he's used to it and enjoyed the sunshine. The shell leis are wonderful! We decided to hand them out in August at the send off party for Flat Kanale. The boys saw the leis and ohh'd and ahh'd and looking forward to receiving them. We were wondering how many boys you have in your group so we can send something that represents Michigan. We will send our flat guy out in the next two weeks when we have a little meeting. Thanks Kathleen and Kanale |
