dyke march details
gather at 9pm or a bit before if you want at the walker across from loring park on hennepin.

there are two confirmed bands playing before we march and they are kitten forever and tough, tough skin. after they each play there will be a fire eating demo for those interested in learning, supplies are provided.

chants will be handed out during all of this for people to yell as well as tshirts, patches, and buttons free of charge.

we leave the walker at 9:45 pm with the march route as follows: start at the walker and march north on hennepin to sixth street. go right or east at sixth to nicollet mall and head south on nicollet mall until 15th street. take a right or head west on 15th back towards loring park. end up at the walker. accesibility vehicle provided.

6/24: Float in the Pride Parade
We are planning some exciting shenanigans at this year's Pride. We want to make statements on how we feel about Pride and the direction it has taken and continues to follow. We will have a float in the Pride Parade with a wedding and a funeral with all of the "dead" issues that Pride and various GLBT organizations have left out while focusing so exclusively on gay marriage:
1. Trans Issues
2. Feminism
3. Body Image/Materialism
4. National Health Care
5. Poverty/Welfare
6. Non-Nuclear Families
7. Anti-Racism
8. Queer Homeless Youth

We know we aren't the only ones who feel this way. Come out to the parade to show your support--and if the spirit moves you, join us! The meetup for all of us is in front of the Library, on Nicollet between 3rd and 4th - basically on the stones in front of the Dunn's in the library.
