The history:

"As I understand it, Henry Ford himself set George Pillsbury up in business to make a heavy duty drawing/stamping compound (does Drawco P-10 ring a familiar note?) for his Rouge manufacturing complex.

I have a book here somewhere with George's signature in it. He was a relative of some sort of the Pillsbury's of cake and pastry fame. Don't think 139 Summit was the original location. Used to be some copper and/or brass smelting going on there. There was a small medallion imbedded in the cement floor of the shipping room that was similar to a geological survey marker that had that company's name on it. Roy Hergenroether worked for George in the early days and used to mention a street name that I can't remember right now.  Believe P-10 was the only thing they made for a while. A few drums at a time all day long. Eventually got into other drawing compounds and some oils and oil solubles.

Bob Rauth bought the 139 Summit operation in '79. I worked there for a while that first year and quit. It was a mad house and a hell hole. But I went back in '81 and stayed. Bob, Harris Vahle and Bill Burr where all from Stuart Oil and worked their asses off to make a go of it. Seem to remember hearing it was doing about 3/4 million when he bought it and they turned into about 10 mill in ten years. It was starting to slip before he sold to Novamax  Bob sold to Novamax around '91 or '92 and we all went to Livonia. You made that trip didn't you? Henkel aG bought Novamax in '95 or '96 and the Circlene, Drawco and Pure Tek trade names still being used."

Do you remember DeVill's Knight Muffler Shop, at this I-96 and Southfield Fwy location?
They tipped cars over for easier access to the underbody of a car.

This stray bullet,x22LR or 22Mag, was at the end of its trajectory when it flew in to the open window of the QC lab, when both Paulas were absent. I heard a loud clang, found it, and used Tech Service Polaroid that Keith had handily produced.
