National Engineers Week, better known as E-Week, is celebrated at UC Irvine to promote interaction and communication amongst engineering students, faculty, alumni and industry. Furthermore, the celebration is intended to generate public awareness and appreciation for the engineering profession.

This year's E-Week theme is "The future is not written. It is engineered." As engineering students, we often find that our achievements and accomplishments, breakthroughs and designs, and the ability to adapt and improve are based on the visions of yesterday. In our field, we are motivated to break the limitations of life, and to strive to change and enhance what is visible. It is through this dedication that the impossible becomes a reality. With this in mind, we hope E-Week will give students better knowledge and skills to achieve their ambitions and to face the challenges they will encounter upon entering the work force.
