Erin Maddux

Erin Maddux was born on the 26th of June, 1989 in Newport Beach, CA. She began skating at the age of two, after watching the 1992 Olympics on television. She began skating seriously at the age of five. Maddux, originally from Irvine, CA, currently trains out of Aliso Viejo, CA with John Nicks. She skates for the Orange County Figure Skating Club. Her choreographers are John Nicks and Phillip Mills.

Maddux also once competed as a gymnast and a pairs competitor, in addition to playing the piano and dancing ballet. She still runs track, and hopes one day find the right partner and skate pairs again.

She admires rink mate Sasha Cohen for her "how she practices every day and how it helps her improve," and Michelle Kwan for her excellent attitude. Maddux hopes to compete at both the Olympic Games and the World Championships in the future. She also hopes to work with children, off the ice.
