Senior Ladies
Lindsey Weber was born in Royal Oak, MI on January 1st, 1984. She began skating when she was one year old, becasue she refused to stay at home with her babysitter while her mother went to the rink to coach other skaters. (Both her mother and grand mother teach figure skating and her brother plays ice hockey.) She now lives in Lakewood, OH and is coached by Carol Heiss-Jenkins and Editha Dotson-Bowser. Her hometown is Shelby Township in Michigan. She skates for the Detroit Skating Club. Weber currently attends Alpha Omega Academy. Her choreographer is Olga Volozhinskaya.
In January 2001, Weber accomplished one of her main goals for the season - to medal at the US National Championships (junior). She skated two brillant programs and took home the bronze. Her excellent skating earned a ticket on the US Gardena Spring Trophy team, her first international competition, where she finished 6th. Unfortunately, Weber injured herself in the summer before the 2001-2002 season, where she had planned to compete as a senior, and was therefore unable to compete.
Weber enjoys hanging out with her friends, surfing the internet, playing tennis and roller-blading. She would like to someday be able to act, coach skating, go to collage and study physical therapy. She would also like to make the US World and Olympic teams. Webers's favorite parts of skating are jumps and choreography.
Comments Weber on skating: "I love to practice and have goals to accomplish! I also have a lot of energy so skating is great for me, lol! I also just the feeling of getting a new jump or doing great at competitions!"
