In the years since its inception, in 1896, the Woman's Club of Woodbury was at the forefront of important civic improvement and community service projects. From a variety of fund raising activities the club has contributed thousands of dollars to cultural, educational, health, and charitable organizations.

The Annual Holiday House Tour is the Club's major fund raising activity. Among other community contributions, proceeds from the Holiday House Tour are used for scholarship awards to Nonnewaug High School students.

The 67 club members share friendships, love of creativity, cultural activities, and a commitment to community service. Meetings are held at 12:00 PM the first Monday of the month from September through May. Special interest activity groups such as Literary, Fine Arts and Crafts, and Antique Study also meet during the month.

The Woman's Club of Woodbury is a member of the Greater Federation of Women's Clubs, both State and International.

The Woodbury Club is the sponsor of the 2006-2008 State Project, the Independent Living Fund of Connecticut Community Care, Inc. (CCCI). This project will help low income elderly and disabled people remain in their homes. This fund is a last resort when no other community resources are available. The State has a goal of raising $30,000. This is an unique opportunity for the Woman's Club of Woodbury to help make a difference to address a state-wide need.
