"But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisment of our peace was upon Him and with His stripes, we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray we have turned everyone to his own way. And the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth. He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter......
so He openeth not His mouth". Isaiah 53(selected verses)

The Crucifixion
by Marilyn Ferguson
They placed the cross upon His back
Yet, no one seemed to care
The weight across His shoulders
Seemed more than He could bear.
The spikes were driven in His hands
And pounded through His feet
The ones who had convicted Him
Were cheering in the street.
The crown of thorns placed on His head
Brought blood upon His brow
The day of prophecy had come
He had to face it now.
The sins of man were laid to rest
He bore a heavy loss
The agony He must have felt
As He hung there on the cross.
The innocent blood of Jesus Christ
Was shed for all to see
The Son of God was crucified
And died for you and me.

Welcome To
A CHASING OF THE WINDS

MY TESTIMONY
The Night I Met The Savior
I walked the aisle that night a broken, miserable wretch of a person, the woman at the well if you will. One who had walked their last lonely, dark mile alone.
I presented myself shackled with the chains of sin, having run as far as I could run, chased every wind I could find to chase, only to find it always led to heartache and despair.
I knelt at the altar, with tears streaming down my face, and gave up my will to His. Every rotten, miserable sin I had ever committed was forgiven because of His Blood.
He saw me coming long before I ever knelt at the altar, and sent for the white robe, because His daughter who was lost, had come Home.
There are no words to describe how I felt at that moment in time. I was loved; unconditionally loved by the King of all the Ages. I was accepted into His Family, where open arms are always extended to the orphans, the downtrodden and sinners.
No one who comes to Him, is excluded from His great love.
You can read more of the marvelous Grace of God in my life in other pages if you would care to.

Following is one of my very favorite Christian poems.
TROPHIES
There were wounds that now are scars
Forever fixed in place.
Scenes etched in my memory
That time cannot erase.
I don't understand, Lord
All That You have done.
But the scars have become trophies
Of the battles You have won.
There were times I felt despair
Lost and so alone.
Yet You had gone before me
I was never on my own.
I dropped my sword in anguish
Feeling the losses and defeat.
Then You brought my enemies before me
And laid them at my feet.
When strong words of rejection
Cut through me like a knife.
The pain was so unbearable
I despaired even of my life.
You picked me up and held me
Whispered softly in my ear.
"My child, these things I have allowed
So that you'll draw even nearer."
You have picked me up, Lord Jesus
When the journey seemed too long.
I was weak and I was weary
But You are mighty and You are strong.
I don't understand, Lord
All that You have done.
But all around me I see trophies
Of the battles You have won.
