Ok - So you want to get online and start chatting with some of the girls! Excellent!
The First Step
The Two (2) things you will need are chat software, technically called an IRC Client by my Geek Babe Friends and a current list of UnderNet's Servers.
One place to pick up an IRC Client is at http://www.tucows.com
You may care to use one of the direct links to providers of IRC chat software and further information for WebTV users listed below.
|
Pirch, from http://www.pirchat.com is designed for Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT Operating Systems. |
ChatNet, from http;//www.elsinc.com is designed for the Apple Macintosh. Operating System. |
|
Mirc, from http://www.mirc.co.uk is designed for Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and comes in both 16 and 32 bit versions. |
This site provides links to a list of IRC Chat Clients available for various systems, as well as how to get on to IRC using WebTV. |
|
AmIRC is IRC Chat software for the Commodore Amiga. - http://www.vapor.com |
PalmIRC is a reasonable chat client. ChrissyS uses it so it must be good. |
Most IRC Client's come packaged with proper server lists. However, if the Undernet server list is out of date (and in my package it was) you may care to update it from the information below. This data is also available at http://www.undernet.org.
The Second Step
Once you are connected to the undernet type /join #crossdress and in warm friendly letters type Hello
Just a final word of advice: If the server you are connecting to refuses your connection. Please don't take it personally as it probably just means that the server has reached its capacity. Just to ahead and try connecting to another server.
The Command to connect to another server is "/server." By way of example, to try to connect to ann-arbor.mi.us.undernet.org one can type the line:
